That job ended in late 2017 when GST and demonetization hit the construction industry. Then during the COVID pandemic I welcomed my daughter into this world, and started a delivery business with my wife, I built from nothing. We baked cakes, delivered groceries, and made it work for seven months. And when restrictions lifted, people went back to shops and the business disappeared overnight. Sitting with that, I asked myself one question: what would actually make me hireable? That question sent me into a rabbit hole; LinkedIn, resumes, job search outreach, and eventually I realized that an interview is also a sales conversation. A resume is also sales deck. I dove into sales systems and psychology. I became obsessed with understanding why most outreach fails and what actually moves a qualified prospect toward a conversation. I started writing resumes for people who felt stuck. I started building outbound systems for companies whose pipeline had dried up. The same problem kept showing up on both sides. Most people and most companies are not failing because of a lack of effort. They are doing the right things with no system underneath. So I built systems. Today I run The Ascension Company. On the GTM side, I have generated $50M+ in pipeline for B2B clients, expanded total addressable markets by 10x through data enrichment and outbound automation, and helped drive ai to the number two spot on Product Hunt. On the career side, I have grown my LinkedIn audience to 75K+ followers organically, written 1,000+ resumes and reviewed thousands more improved, and coached jobseekers at every career stage.
