I lead Go-to-Market and Product for the AWS Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) unit I describe this emerging discipline as Frontier Deployment Engineering: it is the discipline of engineering AI-native organizations by orchestrating software, context, agents, graphs, workflows, evaluations, governance, and human expertise into deployed systems that continuously produce business Our mission extends beyond deploying AI. We help organizations redesign business workflows, modernize legacy systems, build contextual understanding, and establish the governance needed for AI to operate responsibly at enterprise scale. The goal is customer self-sufficiency, where organizations continue to learn, adapt, and innovate long after an engagement I believe the next decade will be defined by who can build the most intelligent organizations.
