AI and agentic workloads. Our infrastructure isn't just running containers and functions anymore; it's orchestrating multi-agent systems, serving LLM inference at scale, and training frontier models. GPU consumption through EKS has more than doubled since 2024, with customers like Anthropic and Amazon adopting Kubernetes to scale clusters up to 100,000 nodes for training frontier models like Claude and Amazon Nova. When customers ask how to move from traditional ML pipelines to GenAI-native architectures, or how to wire together autonomous agents that reason, retrieve, act, and hand off across distributed systems, the answer almost always runs through the services my team supports. We're helping define what it means to build and operate agentic systems at enterprise scale, where the shift is organizational, cultural, and strategic. I lead my team by building shared conviction through mechanisms that involve everybody, making them feel like owners. That instinct for community and shared ownership didn't start at AWS. I'm a big supporter of open source communities and the impact they can make on the world. I've worked on projects like ACK, KRO, Crossplane, and Argo because they require scale and are best served by large communities working together. I was a core contributor and steering committee member for Spinnaker, used by Netflix, Adobe, Airbnb, Cisco, and other large organizations to deliver software at scale, and I'm an ex-member of the Technical Oversight Committee for the Continuous Delivery Foundation. Open source taught me that the best solutions emerge when you build shared conviction across distributed teams, a lesson I bring to everything I do. Before AWS, I built startups from the ground up as a product and engineering leader, with four successful exits. I've shipped successful products across AdTech, AI/ML, mobile, social, cloud, and DevOps tooling, but what I really care about is building outcomes that outlast my presence. Early on, I learned that getting products into customers' hands requires different teams working together, and psychology plays a bigger role than most engineers admit. Sometimes data and facts don't change someone's mind. That's when I dig deeper to understand the human side.
