Jorge here from Puerto Rico. Story time: I am an industrial engineer who transitioned to sales almost 10 years ago. It's funny because my grandfather and dad worked in sales, and I studied industrial engineering to get away from sales, but sales didn't get away from me. A few years ago, I grew sales for a startup here in PR from 0 to 3M in ARR. We became the first Puerto Rican startup in Y-Combinator. Transitioned to working at two venture-backed startups, Reprise and Offsite as a Mid-Market AE and then worked in e3 Consulting as an Enterprise AE. While working i did my MBA, that was a cool experience. I am now running The GTM Engineering Company. A consultancy firm for venture back startups and service business that want to implement the verge of innovation for their Go To Market processes. Topics i am very passionate about: how companies' culture affects productivity, Sales Operations, PLG Strategies, anything GTM Engineering related, Team Retreats, SaaS, and LATAM's growing sector for VC. Right now, I'm happy with my role as founder of The GTM Engineering Company, which mixes my background in industrial engineering and my 8+ years of experience in tech and sales.
