My background runs the whole field — federal security operations (Splunk: DoJ, FBI, HHS), cloud-native security architecture (Palo Alto Networks, Prisma Cloud), independent advisory (cloudDork Labs), and now solutions engineering at the platform layer. I've seen security from the analyst side, the startup side, and the enterprise side, which means I've watched the same problems get described very differently depending on who's selling.
