GTM Index developer resources

GTM Index API

Two public read surfaces for GTM Index (gtmindex.io). No API key while public browse is on. There is no write API and no webhook receiver.

Open WebMCP

POST https://gtmindex.io/mcp JSON-RPC: initialize, tools/list, tools/call. Tools: search_people, search_tools, get_playbook, stack_cooccurrence. Paginate people. Do not dump the full people list.

People search

GET https://gtmindex.io/v1/people (same-origin proxy) or GET https://gateway-production-a21f.up.railway.app/v1/people — q, skill, company, location, role, open_to_work, limit (max 100), offset. Invalid params return application/problem+json.

Jobs search

GET https://gtmindex.io/v1/jobs or GET https://gateway-production-a21f.up.railway.app/v1/jobs — q, workplace_type, function, location, limit (max 50), offset. Title-gated GTM roles only.

Errors, rate limits, and versioning

Unknown or invalid API calls return RFC 9457 application/problem+json withcode, detail, and hint. Successful responses include IETF RateLimit and RateLimit-Policy headers (120 requests / 60 seconds advertised). Breaking changes require a new /vN path; deprecations use Sunset/Deprecation headers and the versioning policy.
