No sales background, no CS degree. What I had was a stubborn habit of taking a problem apart until it makes sense, and a preference for building the thing myself instead of waiting for the perfect tool. I enjoy the process of using AI to build custom research agents, enrichment logic, and whole outbound systems that go way past what off-the-shelf tools do on their own. There are enough shiny tools in the market and even I was running behind them in the start thinking that without mentioning them in the portfolio I might lose credibility. Now I prefer to start manually doing the outbound for the first few accounts and then just look for ways to use tools to scale it. I'd rather build a smaller, sharper engine — define who genuinely fits, find a real "why now," verify it before it goes out, and write something a human would actually reply to. Tools like Clay and Claude Code are the muscle; the judgment about who's worth reaching and why is the part that Some of what I've built so far: a signal engine that finds and enriches accounts, scores them, and writes cited briefs that fact-check themselves; a QA gate that catches bad data before it ever hits a campaign; and a vertical signal engine for healthcare. I'm early in this on purpose — getting reps, building in public, and looking for founders with a real problem worth solving, not just a list to If you're trying to make outbound actually work — or you just want to talk shop — reach out.
