You can't outspend, outwork, or out-maneuver a bad go-to-market foundation. Focus, on the other hand, transforms GTM: find your highest value, best fit path and build everything around

More

Revenue starts with strong upstream foundations like ICP, problem-solution fit, positioning, and messaging. But identifying the right path is challenging, and walking away from the others can be even harder. A big, expansive opportunity can feel safer than a smaller niche. When the product seems useful to a number of verticals, narrowing focus feels like you're ignoring valid So, many companies stay broad. And it shows up everywhere:• Marketing and sales can't agree on who to target and what resonates• Each function ends up optimizing for a different customer: product prioritizes features for one, sales develops talk tracks for another, and marketing launches campaigns targeting a third• Resources get split across too many bets, and none of them get enough to make an impactThe longer it takes to lock these in, the harder it gets to find the repeatable motion and I've seen what it costs when these foundations come too late because I've been the leader walking into it from both the sales and the marketing side. Now, I've taken that experience of walking into unfocused GTM and having to build the path from the inside into a repeatable methodology that helps early-stage companies lock in those foundations before the cost of staying broad catches up.
