I'm always trying to be a better person. That means working on my flaws, reflecting on my actions, and realigning on my core values. In my free time? I've rediscovered the joy of reading. (I can't believe I'm using the word 'joy' with I did a reading of a lifetime in engineering school, but after years of just flipping through car magazines, I started getting into leadership, influence, and negotiation books. "Never Split the Difference" by Chris Voss is a favorite. I've also picked up the habit of listening to audiobooks while folding laundry. (yes, I do laundry, you can give me the gold star). It's donned 'habit stacking', a trick from the book "Atomic Habits." In the future? I ask where do I want to be in a few years? What kind of roles do I need to prepare for? Who can help me get there? I also think a lot about my family and how to be a better person and Christian. At work? I thrive off interacting with witty, intelligent, and even challenge people, but I also need my 'me' time to focus. I've found a passion for storytelling, whether it's through education, mentoring, or supporting employee resource groups. I'm always trying to improve, even by just 1%. I start my mornings with a TED Talk (+ESPN) and a smooth cup of coffee. I love tinkering with technology and helping others do the same.
